1. Pre-Session Consultation

Before the shoot, you’ll discuss:

  • Purpose of portraits (travel/memory, special occasions, corporate, editorial, personal branding, lifestyle, etc.)

  • Preferred style (natural, cinematic, minimal, expressive)

  • Locations and timing

  • Visual references

This step ensures the session is aligned with your goals.

2. Location Selection

Buenos Aires offers a wide range of visual environments:

  • Urban & Modern (Palermo, Puerto Madero)

  • Classic & Elegant (Recoleta)

  • Historic & Vintage Style (San Telmo)

  • Colorful & Cultural (La Boca)

  • Natural Style (Green areas of Palermo & Recoleta)

Locations are chosen based on several factors: type of photoshoot (solo, couple, engagement, family, corporate, artist), light, crowd levels, and how they support the mood of the portraits.

3. The Photo Session

The sessions are relaxed and fun.

You don’t need to be a model — you will have my full support and guidance during the photo shoot:

  • Natural movement and posture

  • Small adjustments to expression and body language

  • Posed shots mixed with candid moments

The goal is to create portraits that feel authentic, confident, and natural, not stiff or over-directed.

Clothing, Locations, and Preparation Tips

👔 What to Wear

  • Wear what you like and what makes you feel comfortable

  • Avoid strong logos or busy patterns

  • Possibility to bring extra outfit options (if the photoshoot last at least 1.30/2 hours)

  • Corporate portraits benefit from clean ed elegant clothing

  • Creative portraits allow more flexibility and personal style

📍 Preparing for the City

Buenos Aires is vibrant and dynamic. Flexibility, and a relaxed mindset help a lot — especially for outdoor sessions.

For an afternoon session during rush hour, I suggest staying in one location or choosing a duration of two hours to give us time to move from one place to another, taking traffic into account.

During the summer months (December, January, and February), the days can be very hot. It is therefore recommended that you bring sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, and, if possible, if the session is outdoors, choose an early morning or late afternoon time slot.

November is one of the most extraordinary months to visit the city, with Jacaranda and Lapacho trees in bloom and mild, sunny weather that is not yet too hot.

🕒 Timing & Light

Early morning or late afternoon sessions usually offer the best natural light and fewer crowds.

Although sunset offers the best light, the timing of your session may vary depending on your preferred location and the final photographic style you are seeking.

Natural vs Posed Portraits in an Urban Environment

A Professional Portrait Session balances both approaches:

Natural Portraits

  • Movement-based

  • Candid expressions

  • Ideal for families, lifestyle, personal branding, creatives

Posed Portraits

  • Clean composition

  • Strong posture and eye contact

  • Ideal for corporate, editorial, and professional use

Buenos Aires works especially well for natural portraits, where architecture, streets, cafés, and light become part of the story.

Selection, Editing Style, and Delivery

📸 Image Selection & Editing

After the session:

  • You receive a low-resolution batch of images to make your selection. If you prefer, the selection can be made directly by the photographer.

  • Once the selection is made, the retouching process start. Editing is natural and refined, focusing on:

    • Skin tone accuracy

    • Light balance

    • Colors

Over-retouching is avoided to keep portraits realistic and professional.
